Keyboard Cleaner is made by Arctic Studios LLC. During a cleaning session, it intercepts keyboard events before they reach other apps. It uses key codes temporarily to pause input, show pressed keys, and recognize the Escape unlock gesture. It does not record what you type, retain a key history, or transmit keyboard input.

The app requests Accessibility access so it can pause keyboard input. Input handling starts only when you choose Start cleaning and ends when the session finishes. Granting permission does not start a session or enable monitoring outside cleaning mode. You can revoke access in System Settings under Privacy & Security. The pane is named Accessibility, or Device Control and Data Access on newer macOS versions.

Your preferred session length is saved locally. The app uses elapsed time to run the cleaning and unlock timers. Arctic Studios receives none of this information. Keyboard Cleaner has no developer-operated cloud service, analytics SDK, advertising, or network functionality.

You can change the session length in Settings. Removing the app and its container removes its locally stored preferences.

Apple handles App Store purchases and downloads. Apple may also process information through macOS and optional system diagnostics under its own terms and privacy policy. These services are separate from the app's local keyboard handling.

This app policy is separate from visiting the Arctic Studios website. Hosting and security providers process request information, such as your IP address, browser details, requested path, and request time, to deliver and protect these pages.

These Keyboard Cleaner pages do not load app analytics or advertising scripts. Other Arctic Studios pages have their own website measurement practices, described in the website privacy notice. The app's no-collection statement does not describe all processing performed by this website or its providers.

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond and resolve your request. Do not include passwords, security codes, or payment details.
